These photographs of ice formations (taken by Japanese artist Ryota Kajita in Fairbanks, Alaska) call to mind the comforting repetitiveness of a series of circular mandalas. My dear friend, Evergreen, created a horizontal collage of found “mandalas” for me years ago. It hangs on the wall of my office and serves as a guard against work-related madness.
